Money Train 2: identify the sequel first

Money Train 2 is Relax Gaming’s sequel to the original Money Train. Its 2020 launch announcement distinguishes a new base-game respin feature from the returning Money Cart bonus. Those are separate sequences with different triggers and different jobs.

This guide follows the developer’s product overview and launch description. It explains feature structure rather than supplying a complete symbol paytable or confirming a particular operator’s configuration. Check the full title and version before applying a rule from Money Train, Money Train 3 or Money Train Origins.

Money Train 2: the two feature triggers

Sequence Published trigger What the description emphasizes
Base-game respins Two bonus symbols Displayed multipliers accumulate and apply to a resulting win
Money Cart bonus Three or more Scatters Displayed values, character actions and additional bonus spins

The first row comes from the launch announcement; the second follows the official Money Train 2 product page. Treat a two-symbol respin event as its own feature, rather than assuming it guarantees entry to Money Cart.

Read what a counter represents before comparing the two sequences. A remaining-spins counter and a displayed win multiplier measure different things. An increase to one cannot be interpreted as an increase to the other.

Read Money Cart characters by their actions

The product overview describes several distinct roles. The Collector combines displayed values with its own value. The Payer contributes its displayed value, while the Sniper doubles selected symbol values, with up to eight mentioned in the overview.

Activation timing is another distinction. Persistent characters act across bonus spins; single-use characters have one activation unless a reactivation occurs. The Necromancer can bring used, non-persistent characters back into action. A character’s name therefore tells only part of the story: also check when it acts and whether it can act again.

These are role summaries. For interactions involving several characters, use the version’s full rules to establish action order, eligible targets and any exclusions. Do not turn the short product description into an assumed rule for every possible screen.

A collection example without inventing a payout

Invented arithmetic example: suppose a Collector combines two other displayed values, 2× and 5×, with its own 1×. Under that simplified assumption, its resulting displayed value is 2 + 5 + 1 = 8×.

That is the Collector value in the example, not an automatically calculated bonus-round total. It excludes other character actions, repeated activations and the final settlement rules. The example explains addition; it does not predict how often such a state occurs or what a session will return.

Expansion and version checks

The developer describes adding a column when a reel fills with symbols during Money Cart. This changes the bonus layout and needs to be read together with its continuation rules. It does not mean that every base-game respin expands the board.

Before using numerical specifications, check the exact version’s paytable, displayed RTP, bet unit and feature conditions. The official catalog includes market-specific configurations, so a figure found on one product page should not be treated as the setting on every site. A theoretical RTP is also different from a winning frequency or a personal return.

For broader terminology, read the public explanations of respin triggers and continuation and cascade replacement. They help separate feature actions without implying that the two mechanics are interchangeable.
